We have set a date for out 50th anniversary so please save the weekend of 18th -19th of August. We will have an epic party on the 18th at the Howick Country club and will have a fun tournament and more surprises on the 19th at Koru. These events will include all current and past members, juniors and their parents, seniors and vets. Details and early registration discounts will be communicated soon.
The Interclub enters the final stages and we are doing very well:
- Second Men R2S3 Koru in 1st place
- Ferrier Cup Koru team 1st with one game in hand
- Presidents A Koru team on first place with one match to go
- Open men 5 Koru in 3rd place with 1 game to play
- Open men 9 Koru in 3rd place with 3 games to go
- Open presidents Koru team 1st with 9 points ahead
- Open Women 3 Koru in 5th place in very tight race with only 4 points to the 2nd place
- Superwoman 2 Koru team first with an almost perfect score sheet, they only dropped 2 points in 8 rounds.
The interclub results show during club days as well. The competitiveness and the number of participating members is high and the caliber of tennis is definitely higher than previous years.
We would like to congratulate you all on these fine results. Also we would like to thank the dedicated members that clean up and prepare the food so we can show what Koru hospitality is all about.
