On Monday will return to Alert Level 2 and we would like to let you know what that means for us.
Please be aware that as a community organisation Koru Tennis’ primary responsibility is the well-being of our club, members and participants. This means that all decisions have been made with health and safety as our number one priority.
The courts are open under Level 3 for bubble play but under level 2 we can start playing other people as well. At this stage we can do that in groups of 10 max, contact tracing, cleaning and physical distancing rules apply.
The Working Bee and Open Day will be moved to 10am Saturday 5th of Sep.
Senior open day will move to 1pm Saturday 12th of Sep
Club Day moves from Saturday to Sunday starting 20th of September.
Koru Card Changeover/Reset: 14th September.
Senior Interclub
We anticipate beginning two weeks later than initially scheduled, on the 19th September.
Please note that the proposed delayed start date of 19th September will depend on next announcement re: gathering sizes. If gathering restrictions of 10 people continue beyond 6th September, we will have to re-evaluate that start date and potentially move the start date back even later.
Coaching
The junior coaching starts on 12th of September 9-10am for the young ones and 10-11am for the others.
We have a new head coach Nic Burnie, Caro Res player, Bachelor of Sports Degree and Major in Coaching, with heaps of experience and he will be assisted by Tim, Katie and Jim. Also, Adam Thompson who represented NZ in Davis Cup may also help with the program.
We are going through fund raising and grants to offer you a comprehensive program this year and take your game to the next level.
