From 03.05.2014 the weekend club day will change from Sunday to Saturday.
This year the tournament is held on Sunday 13.04.2014. There will be no club day that Sunday.
Members are welcome to come and support the club. Winter Interclub entries are now open. Put your name down on the noticeboard at the club rooms or submit and Interclub form online. Entries close Friday 11.04.2014. The competition begins on 11.05.2014 for singles and 18.05.2014 for mixed doubles. Games are played on Sundays at 10:00 a.m.
Please note, a Special General Meeting will be held on Sunday 30th March 2014 commencing at 1.00 p.m. in the Clubrooms, Blyton Lane, Pakuranga.

Welcome to the new season (nearly). This newsletter is to give everybody an overview of times, fixtures, fees and updates of things happening in the club over the new season 2014. But also keep an eye on the whiteboard in the kitchen for imminent events. We have had a very mild winter and the weather MetService is predicting a very hot and dry summer, so good for tennis (but not so good for farmers). So we should be able to look forward to a great season of tennis. Club Sponsorships We would like to thank the sponsors of the club for their continuing support and sponsorship of our junior program: Tiger Turf, Lanta, Hafele NZ, Creative Kitchens & Kiril Kirilov Builders. Annual General Meeting Our AGM was held on the 27th of July 2013; it was well attended with most club sections represented. We had 50+ members attend which would be a record for the club. The President’s Report indicated that the club was in good health with continued growth in membership and a good financial balance sheet. The new committee consists of: Steve Morris (President), Lydia Street (Secretary), Jim Beban (Treasurer), Dave Brook (Club Captain), Maree Burgess (Vice Club Captain), Dave Burgess (Interclub Controller) Kevin McManus, Alex Wong, Dean Hooker, George Iugan and Raz Iugan. Working Bee: Saturday 24th August at 10am All welcome to come and help – not a big one, just a quick tidy up before the season starts. See you there. Seniors Opening Day for new season: Saturday 31st August at 1pm BBQ provided. The first round of interclub starts on Saturday 7th September. We expect to have the draws available and displayed at the clubroom on Saturday 31st August. The Saturday club day will move to Sunday from 8th September at the same time 1pm (due to interclub being played on Saturdays) Any Senior enquires phone Jim Beban 577 1170 (evenings) or 027 2431918 Juniors Open day and registration Saturday 31st August at 9am. The Saturday morning session will be at the same time as last year: 8.30-10.00am starting Saturday 7th September. The intermediate junior section will start on Friday 6th September 6:00-7:30pm. Junior Interclub If you wish to play junior interclub this season please have your names in by the close off date of Saturday 21st September. Please use the registration form or put names on notice board in the clubroom. Alternatively you can ring Steve 576 6170 - evening only. Parent Help: each parent is asked to do one help session on a Saturday morning in a time that coincides with your child’s coaching. It involves monitoring a court for an hour and a half. You need not have any sporting skills to do a parent help session. A parent help list is available to put your name down in a time that suits. Interclub starts end of October. Note interclub is played on a Sunday morning due to lack of court availability on Saturdays. If you put your name down you need to be committed to playing every Sunday until early December. Any junior enquires phone Steve Morris 5766170 or 021688455 Membership Subscriptions You will need to renew your subscription to be a part of it! At the Annual General Meeting it was decided that the subscriptions will be as follows for the 2013/2014 season which runs from 31st August 2013 until 31st August 2014. There are no increases this year except for junior players with an increase of $5 due to extra coaching commitments. For full membership fees details click here. Please note: A $10 early payment Discount applies if full payment received by 21st September 2013. Please ensure you have paid your subscription prior to 21st September as this ensures the Committee is able to plan for the season ahead with a true understanding of how many members we have on board. Key Change Over The locks for both court and light access will be changed on Friday 30th August. Please ensure you return your old key to Dave Brook (Club Captain) or Maree Burgess (Vice Club Captain). (If you have lost your key, there will be a $10 charge for replacement).
