The snow might be falling on parts of the country but we at Koru, are getting ready for summer. We had some rain and a recent cold snap but we soldiered on and had great turn out for the Wednesday and the Saturday club days.
Our winter interclub team is battling on and Dick’s South Auckland Senior Tennis team finished in a very honourable second place.
The Prize Giving and the Koru Masterchef competition was a great evening. See below Steve receiving his award. .. more pictures at the club.
Chef Desrae won the cooking comp with her “traditional” maori-Italian dish…
Thank you for your efforts and the yummy desert. Pete and Manu from MKR will be in touch…
Vaughn surprised us all… you play tennis with a guy and you think you know him. This guy can actually cook! The show, the preparation, the flames, the yummy food… the first degree burns….perfect 10.
Thank you also for Nash and Rashmi. They were rushing on the day due to other commitments but promised us a great curry on a future function. We will remember your promise.
With this newsletter we would like to give everybody an overview of times, fixtures, fees and updates of things happening at Koru over the new season 2016/17. Please also keep an eye on the whiteboard in the kitchen and our website for upcoming events. Koru website: http://www.korutennis.co.nz/events-calendar.html
The new elected Committee met last month and we started putting together the plan of action for the next year.
