Well done to all those committed ladies who are making such huge improvements in their tennis skills and to their amazing coach, Camila. Tuesday nights is also available as an additional club night with a couple of courts available for members but without a board being run – from 7-8pm 3 courts are committed for coaching. Junior News This term will be a busy one with three junior interclub teams playing in different sections with our first all-girls team, managed by Tuvae who won their first match after a marathon (2 and a quarter hour) doubles game by Hana and Pasileigh. On Saturdays we have three coaching groups with over 40 children regularly attending and our Head Coach Gabriel is running coaching lessons in 3 local schools this term. On Friday 3rd March we will be holding our junior fun social for the term with a new initiative of a fun parent and child tournament. See poster here. Towards the end of March, we will also run the Junior Club Championships, more info to follow. Let’s hope the rain stops soon and we get some sunshine to play in. |
